Hall of Fame

November 24, 2009

Here you can see pictures of my models, as built by other people from all over the world.

You can also be featured here yourself if you’d like, just by sending a picture of one of my papercraft models that you built to ninjatoes@home.nl !

If you’re looking for your own entry, you can check the alphabetical index to find your own name more easily.

Have fun building!

Zora armor Link by Dan Hilse

November 24, 2009

This is Dan’s latest build, Zora armor Link from Twilight Princess. He said he took extra care building this one and it really paid off, because in his own words, it looks “really good!”

But of course, he had plenty of practice! Printed off and assembled in just two days, Dan’s other models don’t seem to be scared by his new Oogie Boogie (maybe they know it’s just a paper one…?)

Speaking of Dan’s other models, this Kurt Zisa really is a great build: it looks wonderful, but that’s not surprising because he had a lot of practice! ;o)

Take this Auron for instance: Dan says he had ”a lot of fun building it!” and he’s “really proud of the results!” and really, who wouldn’t be? ;o)

And here’s another one for Dan to be proud of: it’s Cloud Strife Kingdom Hearts style! It’s looking at least as good as Auron, maybe it has something to do with the motivation he got from watching his brother play Final Fantasy 7 while he built it? ;o)

A break fom building Final Fantasy models, Dan also built not on, not two, but several of my Zelda models! In the picture he sent me, you can recognize young Link, princess Zelda herself, Majora’s Mask and the Clock Town Schnauzer of course.

I know you’ve never seen the darker dog, because that’s Dan’s own recolor of the Clock Town Schnauzer to make it look like the common ones found at night at Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time!

And let’s not forget Homer Simpson as part of Dan’s paper model collection as well!

Midna by GoGirl786

November 21, 2009

GoGirl786 sent me this picture of the Midna she built back in February already, when she just started papercrafting. I think it looks pretty good, what you? ;o)

GoGirl786 has a YouTube channel with several… crazy vids (I really don’t know how else to describe them… ;o) so be sure to check them out!

U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 by Bones McCoy

November 15, 2009

You may remember I posted Bones’ retexture of the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 a little while back? Well, here’s a picture of it, by Bones himself!

And here’s another one, of the bottom this time! You can see the extra details in the textures that Bones added, but because the parts have stayed the same, you can still use Bill Perry’s redraw instructions to build it!

Orange Star MD Tank by Ricardo J. Souza

November 9, 2009

Ricardo Junglos from Brazil sends in this picture of an Orange Star MD Tank.

It’s the first model he built from my site, and although he wouldn’t say it’s perfect, he thinks it’s 90% and he wants to do better next time. But the important thing is that he had fun building it!

UPDATE: Ricardo wanted to share his retouched version of this Orange Star MD Tank with you! You can download a ZIP-file with the parts here (938 kB)

Young Link by Toni Müller

November 7, 2009

As you can tell from the background, Toni Müller finished this paper model of young Link just recently! ;o)

All in all, it took him about 15 hours to build and although he says there were some parts that confused him a bit, I would never had guessed if he hadn’t told me, because his build looks just great!

A little while ago, Toni already built Zora armor Link. Being pulled from your comfy virtual world into the real world sounds exciting for an adventurer like Link, but it does require some adjusting…

Here, Toni tries to explain Link that rupees are no good in the real world and that you need coins!

Link looks a bit baffled, and although I don’t know the current exchange rate between rupees and Euros, it’s enough to make ZaL’s head explode! (amongst other things…)
