  1. Thank you!

  2. Ninja, I have a question. In Pepakura, what is the mm height of this model? I printed it on the thinner card-stock, (and made him) as opposed to the thick kind, but If i knew what his H was, I’d be able to figure out how tall some of these other models i’ve been finding, but haven’t wanted to make (due to their size and page count) really are. I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

    • I always export and then copy+paste the unfolded parts into Photoshop, and as a result of that, the height in Pepakura Designer of my Cloud isn’t the same as the final, built height.

I’m afraid I don’t remember exactly anymore what height Cloud was in Pepakura Designer, but the final, built height is about 310 mm (measured from the bottom of his feet to the top of the tallest spike of hair).

For models that you print directly from Pepakura Designer however, the indicated height should be the same as the built height (as long as you print the sheets at 100%).

Pepakura Designer also measures from the absolute bottom to the absolute top of the model, so be aware that some models are “exploded” (sometimes the bodyparts like the legs and head are moved apart from the body to make the parts easier to see) and the gaps will make the indicated height inaccurate!

  3. Coollll… love your model,,,,

  4. Haha I really liked the games, so I hope to make many many more paper models from the Kingdom Hearts series. My KH to do-list almost reads as a “who is who?” from the KH-universe. If only I could manipulate time… ;o)

  5. or how bout Ansem or kiari or Roxas or older kiari or Pluto or
a keyblade or leon or a heartless or yuffie or axel or a nobody
    thanks ^^

  6. oohhhh it’s pretty
    me love kingdom hearts

    PS make sora please

  7. Great Sephiroth KH, is forecast to be ready when?, Sora and the organization XIII would be in your list too?

    • I never know when I get inspired to make a specific paper model. And even if I did, sometimes a simple model can take me months, and sometimes a more complex model only takes me a week or two.

So I can’t tell you *when* I’ll make it, I can only tell you *that* I’ll make it. ;o)

  8. Model perfect, would be nice if the Sephiroth Kingdom Hearts version.
    do it please =)

  9. You’re more awesome than I thought, I’m modifying a model in metasequoia so I can build it as a papercraft, Is not that hard but there are things I got to practice.

  10. ninjatoes’ still amazing me with each model he releases, but there’s one thing around my head, how can you reduce polygons in a way it doesn’t affect the model itself?

    • You can’t. But that’s a good thing. ;o)

The reason why you choose to change/rebuild an original 3D model, is to make the parts fit together in a smarter, more logical way. So you *have* to affect it, otherwise you could just as well do nothing. ;o)

But if it helps to have *more* polygons, then don’t hesitate to do so! Cloud has a much higher polycount then many other models, but because of the way you can build it, it’s not very hard I think/hope. ;o)

  11. I agree. I think it would be a good idea.

  12. This is a great model. Another great FF character is Zack. If possible, do you think you could make him. I know you’re looking for good ideas.

    • Well, I’m not so much looking for ideas, but for time to make them! ;o)

I have lots more Final Fantasy characters that I would like to do some time (including Zack).

  13. Despite all the crap in /po. I think the model looks great.

  14. will you make a squall dude?

    • Yes, I think I will make his Leon incarnation from KH, but the original one from FF8 is also on my “to do”-list. Might be a while, though… ;o)

  15. How tall is he?

  16. Very cool,I’ll build this after I finish his SSBM Link Double-sized by Papercraft-Museum

  17. ArnoldPalmer

Just curious, I’ve noticed that all of your crafts have a lot of detailed involved. I have to give you kudos to just about everything you’ve put out, but where do you find the models? This for example, did you get a ROM of KH, and ripped it into a 3d software like blender or something? Just curious, an aspiring designer looking for the basics.

    • Sometimes when a game is very popular, one or more fans are enthustiastic (and skilled ;o) enough to make a model viewer program, so you can awe at your favourite characters from the game at your own leisure ;o) Sometimes they include an option to convert the game model into a more usuable 3D format (obviously, you do need the game for that).

With Pepakura Designer, you can unfold these 3D models, but because the game model often does not make a good papercraft model I usually rebuild the model in a different way so that it will be more fun to build (I hope ;o) later on. I use Metasequoia to do that, but there are many other programs you can use for that.

  18. Even though I have never build any of your models it’s clear that they’re worked as much as possible and that you spend as long as necessary to bring us a really great quality model.

    Keep up the good work.

  19. Great work. Another masterpiece from the master!
